Here's an inspiring tree for you all...it was posted to another thread but it should have its own discussion.

It is estimated to be 1400 years old and one of the oldest living things east of the mississippi! Here is a wikipedia article on it:

From someone who has seen it first hand I will tell you that it is absolutely amazing. It is something that is truely inspirational and if any of ya'll are down around Charleston, SC be sure to drive out to John's Island to see it. But fair warning, don't try to climb on it, they don't seem like that. And while you are in the area check out Old Sheldon Church off of Highway 17 south right past the turn off for Beaufort. It is a really cool spot and has a lot of history. That is where this picture of me behind the pulpit is from. Take it easy!
