I can't explain why but I cannot keep plants alive. My girlfriend went out of town for a week and in her absense I killed all her plants. I don't know if I was over/under watering but needless to say she's not happy with me. In my defense the temperature outside was a steady 100 degrees. A Charleston summer isn't a kind place to outside life. Any help would be appreciated. She goes out of town again next week.

Did the plants survive when your girlfirend went out of town again? What kind of plants does she have? Depending on what they are will depend on how to take care of them.

No, but in my defense they were already dead. Not sure what kind of plants they were. They were in a hanging basket. A few different kinds... one was purple.
