Here's something that happened to me that you can look out for when renting: I found a nice place, but did not notice that it was directly over the parking garage door. Nobody drove in or out while I was looking at it. After I moved in, however - it sucked! That door went up and down 50 times a day and it was loud.
The property manager should have warned me and the apt should have had a discount.

Sneaky. I hope it wasn't a 2 year lease. Maybe the landlord didn't know... (uh huh)
