I'm looking for advice on finding the best Real Estate agent. Is it acceptable to interview and/or work with an agent for a while, and then switch agents? It is hard to do this because agents want the customer to commit to them and try to make the customer feel that they already have a commitment.

I see it from both ends. An agent shoudl always feel like theri job is on the line. They shoudl feel lucky to have you the client in their presence. It is, however, unethical, and wrong to "shop" agents UNLESS you let them know. The realizty is that when ytou engage an agent, whether or not you have signed a broker agency agreement, they are working for you. Simply being honest with them and letting them know you are talking or thinking of talking to other agents will set precedent for you to fire them, and also to make them work a little harder for you.
