The entryway gets some long-delayed attention

With all the mess and hubbub of construction, our vestibule and entryway spaces have suffered under the role of catch-all; boxes, furniture that had no place as yet, etc.

Well, we finally cleaned out the vestibule, promptly filled it again with the stuff that was in the entryway, and then did the surface treatments for the entryway. Looks great; Deb's taste is my lucky charm.

More stained glass

Deb has completed our second stained glass window (of 14.) We framed it and installed it on Saturday, August 2nd, 2008. She had the final coat of paint on the woodwork by Sunday afternoon. I've uploaded a shot of it (as viewed from the inside of the spa) here in the spa gallery.

She tells me the next one is all planned out, and I should expect to be installing it in a month. That would complete the three in the spa; then we do two for the main west wall, then the four on the front (south) wall, and finally five on the east wall.

She's going to do birds to complement the fish and the cats for the 3rd spa window; then a Tuscan style one for the kitchen with grapes and wine bottles and so on; and an abstract for a west window that only serves a storage room where I keep my photography equipment.

The front (south) of the building -- tentatively -- may have a tiger at one end, a dragon at the other, and jungle in between; while we are considering various ideas for the east wall.

Might put Einstein and the Spaghetti Monster up there; Darwin; A city under "Spindizzy" drive; a pinup girl (Deb sells thigh-highs for a living... who am I to complain?); might do an...
