Bulldog's Furniture
Dec 9th
What's goin' on Ya'll! I just wanted to share my newest hobbie to everyone out there. I recently started building furniture and other home accessories, and I am really excited about it. At this point I have only made stuff for christmas and wedding gifts for my family and friends, but soon I hope to make a little money off of it. So, I am going to start putting up pictures of my work and please let me know if there is anything you like. I would love to even hear your comments or suggestions. Here is a coffee table I made out of Brazilian Hardwood called Ipe'.Thanks and much love to everyone over the holidays.

Bulldog,

That is a great coffee table! I hear ipe' is very thick wood and is basically waterproof, is that true?

Yes it is! It is pretty amazing wood, and I'll tell ya what it is hard to work with. In fact let me warn any of ya'll out there who are going to work with this stuff, be sure to wear a good mask because it will do a number on your sinuses.

That's a very cool looking table. How long does something like that take?

That one took me about 16 hours to complete, but a lot of that time was used just trying to figure out how to put it together. I didn't use any plans so I just kind of made it up as I went along.

This is my latest project. I made this table to use for grilling on our small porch. My inspiration for the design was those old surf boards like Dewey Weber's. I have always thought that they were pretty cool, and when I was designing this table I had two different shades of Ipe' so I just went with that pattern. To think, it is about 10 degrees up here in Ohio and all I can think about is the coast. Go Figure! Let me know what ya'll think.
