It only took 3 or 4 times longer than I expected. I ran out of bricks, for one thing. But mostly I just didn't have much time to work on the project, which made it take longer--

I pulled up the bricks in the front and relaid them. I should have used a level! But I had only a few hours of babysitter left so I had to move quickly. attached is a photo of the bricks BEFORE. Once I've finished putting in the sand filler I will post the AFTER picture. Apologies for the weird fashion ensemble.

Well, I've already scaled back one of my 2 projects-- instead of widening the front walkway I am just going to pull up the bricks and relay them. We'll see if I even get that far...
